About BetterFibre
BetterFibre is here to make choosing a full fibre connection easier.
It is a project between the Altnet association INCA and trusted broadband information service thinkbroadband.com. Both organisations are committed to providing you, the consumer with high quality information about Altnet services available throughout the country.
We have set up the website to educate the public on the Altnet options available and how Altnets can deliver different services from those offered by incumbent players.
We are not a broadband comparison website and won’t list packages available from Altnets directly, or via retail partners. Our Broadband Altnet Search Tool will identify which Altnets may be available, and provide links to their sites for you to investigate further.
- Independent Networks Cooperative Association (INCA) www.inca.coop — is a registered co-operative society representing the interests of its member networks which consist of UK Altnets and others supporting the growth of modern digital infrastructure in the UK.
- thinkbroadband.com — is a broadband news, data and information website with over 25 years’ experience in UK broadband. The availability lookup tools and maps on this site are based on thinkbroadband’s broadband availability API. You can get more details about broadband in your area on thinkbroadband. You can also view a fully interactive UK broadband map with more details on coverage.
The details published for each Altnet are managed by INCA.
Altnets wishing to update coverage are encouraged to contact thinkbroadband. If your Altnet is not yet an INCA member you can find out more about joining on its website.
